Cheetah View Lodge is the Cheetah Conservation Fund’s intimate five-suite lodge near Otjiwarongo, set among acacia trees with far-reaching views towards the Waterberg Plateau. A stay here combines comfortable accommodation with a rare opportunity to learn about cheetah conservation at one of Namibia’s leading research, education and wildlife centres.
Cheetah View Lodge at the Cheetah Conservation Fund
The lodge lies on the CCF reserve, about 44 kilometres east of Otjiwarongo. Its five suites are arranged across low-rise guest buildings, each with a private entrance, porch and views across the landscape or towards the waterhole. Four standard suites offer a double bedroom, shower bathroom and lounge with a sofa, while the larger family suite accommodates two adults and up to two children.
Guests can relax at the open-air Meal House, where the veranda overlooks the waterhole and distant Waterberg. The lodge is suited to travellers who want a smaller, more purposeful stay than a conventional safari lodge, without giving up warm hospitality and comfortable private rooms.
See cheetah conservation in action
Cheetah View Lodge is distinctive because it connects overnight guests directly to the work of the Cheetah Conservation Fund. You can arrange conservation-focused experiences such as the Cheetah Run, a Cheetah Drive and guided visits to the research and education centre. These activities provide context about cheetah behaviour, rehabilitation work and CCF’s predator-friendly farming initiatives.
Experiences are booked separately and depend on animal welfare needs, weather and availability. We confirm the current programme, timings and charges for your dates before you book. Lodge revenue supports CCF’s conservation, education and coexistence work, so your stay has a direct connection to the organisation’s mission.
Dining and practical planning
Published accommodation rates include dinner, bed and breakfast. Meals are served at the Cheetah View Meal House, whose open-air veranda is ideal for wildlife watching around the waterhole. The family suite is the suitable option for guests travelling with children; please share children’s ages when enquiring so we can confirm the correct room configuration and rate.
Cheetah View Lodge works well as a meaningful stop between Windhoek and Etosha, or as part of a route through Waterberg and central northern Namibia. You can combine it with other handpicked Namibia accommodation in a self-drive or guided safari itinerary.
Plan your Cheetah View Lodge stay
One night provides a valuable introduction to CCF, while two nights leave more time for conservation activities and the quieter pace of the reserve. With only five suites, availability can be limited. Share your dates, group size and preferred room type with Travel 2 Namibia, and we will confirm the live rate, meals and available conservation experiences before booking.
